Pacific 32 Catamaran Overview
The gang at Chandlery Yacht Sales got excited when SeaSport gave us the nod for representing their great line of boats. Among our favorites is the Pacific 32 catamaran, a uniquely designed boat with great performance and perfect for the waters off the California coast.
The twin asymmetrical hulls create an incredible ride that balances speed and agility often missing from other boats in the 30’ range.
SeaSport’s patented cat design greatly reduces side rolls and pitching from wave action, while the planing hulls allow you to cruise at 20+ knots, even when the weather turns bad.
The highly customizable interior has all the features needed for extended cruising All of this, along with the respected SeaSport name, gives you a boat that takes you where you want to go in comfort and stability.
The SeaSport 3200 is a well-made well-thought-out vessel. It’s strong, tough, well-finished but with sufficient creature comforts to make it an attractive family cruiser. It has the ability to handle rough water without feeling that things are constantly on the edge.
Pacific 32 Catamaran Features
The Pacific 32 is a feature-rich powerboat that has something we really like… lots of customization options based around a great design. This pilothouse style craft has fans across the US, Canada and beyond. Why? Let’s take a look.
On The Water
- Twin-hull catamaran design bombs through chop with ridiculous ease.
- Flybridge offers numerous configuration possibilities.
- Impressive fuel performance for such a powerful boat.
- Bow-thruster option and wide motor base make docking a snap.
- Twin outboards of your choice – 350’s recommended.
A planing cat should not be confused with a wave-piercing cat. A planing cat has two deep-V hulls and will generally go faster when more power is applied. They’re the same as a planing monohull in that respect. Their advantage comes from the added interior space because of a greater beam than many planing monohulls of the same length. That same extra beam also usually brings excellent lateral stability, and therefore, comfort.
The Pacific 32: Engineering & More
Northwest Marine, the parent company behind the SeaSport line, has been building rugged boats for many decades. Since they are a Washington based builder, many of their boats have to handle the rough west coast seas up to Alaska.
The Pacific 32 Catamaran On Deck
SeaSport designers are either serious boaters themselves or they listen carefully to boaters who own their product. This cat features well-placed, beefy stainless steel rails that allow for safe passage fore and aft. The more you use this boat, the more terrific features you’ll find.
The Pacific 32 Catamaran Interior
SeaSport offers a variety of interior layouts, and the fit and finish of the woodwork are excellent. Well-matched, oiled teak is the wood of choice and gives the interior a warm, cozy feeling. Expansive marine-grade windows keep the interior bright and cheery even on dull days. Upholstery fabric and colors compliment the woodwork. The raised dinette, convertible to a berth, easily accommodates four for dining. The galley, opposite, features a double stainless sink, a microwave, two refrigerator/freezers, a stove and plenty of storage.
